(a) When any person seeks relief from an order issued pursuant to this chapter, he/she may appeal in writing or in person to the Village Administrator within three (3) business days after receipt of notice and state in writing the reasons that relief should be granted as well as the name and address of the person or persons responsible for abating the nuisance described in the notice.
(b) The Mayor, or his designated representative, shall within ten (10) days after an appeal is filed, hold a hearing on the matter. The person or persons receiving the abatement notice, shall be notified of the time and place of the hearing and shall have an opportunity to attend and present any additional information or evidence to support their appeal. The Mayor, or his designated representative, shall render a decision as the validity of the abatement notice.
(c) If the appeal is denied, the notice of abatement shall continue until remedied. If the appeal is upheld, the person or persons receiving the original notice shall be relieved of the responsibility of the abatement. Any further appeal may proceed according to the Revised Code Chapter 2506.
