Each applicant for a license shall execute and deposit with his or her application a bond to be approved by the Utilities Director in the sum of $5,000. The bond shall be conditioned that he or she will indemnify and save harmless the city from all accidents and damages caused by any negligence in protecting his or her work or by any unfaithful, imperfect, or inadequate work done by virtue of their license, and will be effective during the term of the license issued pursuant to this chapter.
