§ 70.33 IMPOUNDING OF VEHICLES; REDEMPTION PROCEDURE.
   Any police officer or personnel assigned duties of parking enforcement may impound any vehicle parked at a place where parking is prohibited, which has been parked for more than one hour in excess of the time allowed for parking in any place, which has improper or expired license plates, which lacks equipment required by law, or which has been involved in two or more violations of traffic ordinances for which citation tags have been issued and not presented. Any person desiring to redeem the impounded vehicle shall first pay any towing and storage charges by the agency or business which towed and stored the vehicle at the request of the police officer, and the person redeeming a vehicle shall also pay the entire amount due for any fine assessed for violations of Title VII of this code.
