§ 98.29 AWNINGS AND CANOPIES ABOVE PUBLIC SIDEWALKS.
   (A)   Awnings now erected or maintained, or which shall hereafter be erected or maintained, and which project over any part of the right-of-way, shall be at an elevation of not less than eight feet above the sidewalk elevation at all points, and may extend beyond the building line to a maximum distance of five feet, but not nearer than two feet to the curb line. They shall be attached to the building without posts, and the sidewalk shall be wholly unobstructed thereby.
   (B)   Canopies are prohibited.
