§ 98.21 PROTECTION OF STREETS AND SIDEWALKS.
   (A)   No person shall unload any heavy material in the streets or sidewalks of the city by placing or letting the same fall upon the pavement of any street, sidewalk, or other public way without first placing some sufficient protection over the street or sidewalk.
   (B)   In the transportation of goods, materials, or equipment across any curb or sidewalk in the city, sufficient temporary planking shall be used to protect such curb or sidewalk from breakage. Such temporary planking shall be removed at the close of each working day and the surface of the curb or sidewalk immediately cleaned and left in a passable condition.
   (C)   Any person who damages a public street or sidewalk will be responsible for the cost of repairs.
