§ 50.62 ACCESSIBLE SANITARY SEWERS.
   All lots or lands within 500 feet of an existing sanitary sewer, which lots or lands have premises discharging sanitary wastes and are located where the topography makes a connection feasible, as determined by the city engineer, will be required to connect to the existing sewer. The owner of the property which lies within 500 feet of an existing sanitary sewer must, within 60 days after the availability of the sanitary sewer service, request a sanitary sewer tap to be connected to the city sewerage system. If the sewer tap has not been completed within l80 days after the availability of sewer service, the property owner will be charged under the provisions of this chapter for all sewer service to the property even though the sewer tap has not been completed. If the property owner has failed to have the sewer service connected within one year after the date of the availability of the sewer service, the property owner shall be cited for his or her failure to comply with this chapter, and each successive day of his or her failure to have the sewer service tapped into the available city sewer shall constitute a separate offense.
