§ 50.50 NOTICE CONCERNING OPENING.
   At least 24 hours’ notice must be given at the city engineer’s office before any street or public way may be opened for the purpose of laying a private drain or sewer, and the work must be completed within the time then fixed by the city engineer. No work of laying drains or sewers may be commenced or continued without the permit being in the hands of the plumber or of one employed by him or her.
