§ 50.48 “Y” BRANCH; PLANS AND ALTERATIONS.
   The city engineer or his or her representative shall designate the position of the “Y” branch in the street as shown by the records in the engineer’s office. All connections made with the public sewers or drains and all plumbing connections therewith shall be made under the direction and supervision of the city engineer, or the authorized agents of the city. Before a permit will be issued for doing plumbing work in connection with the sewers, a plan or description of the work to be done, the size of the pipes to be used, and the location and direction of the same, signed by a licensed plumber on blanks furnished for that purpose, shall be filed in the office of the city engineer. No alteration shall be made in any plan or in the work without a special permit from the city engineer.
