(A) The Water Treatment Plant Chief Operator, the Wastewater Treatment Plant Chief Operator, and the Chemist at the Water Pollution Control Division shall receive an educational achievement pay adjustment if they receive and maintain a valid Ohio EPA Class I, Class II, or Class III certification in either water treatment or wastewater treatment. The certification must be applicable to their job. The achievement pay adjustment shall be as follows:

Class III certification | $4,000 |
(B) The Wastewater Collection Maintenance Supervisor shall receive an education achievement pay adjustment if he/she receives and maintains a valid Ohio EPA Class I or II certification as listed in the chart below. The employee shall be eligible for a Primary Certification and a Secondary Certification. The Primary Certification is required in order to receive the Secondary Certification.

(C) The Chief of Police and Deputy Chief of Police shall be entitled to the same training incentives available to members of the Bowling Green Police Command Officers Association, as outlined in the in current BGPCOA collective bargaining agreement.
(D) Permanent, non-salaried personnel in the Parks and Recreation Department, while employed with that Department, who earn and maintain the following licenses/certifications shall be entitled to the associated hourly pay supplements.
Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) | $0.50 per hour |
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) | $0.50 per hour |
Pesticide or Turf Management License (only 1) | $0.25 per hour |
Certified Life Guard Instructor | $0.25 per hour |
AFA (or industry equivalent) Personal Trainer, CrossFit or Yoga Instructor (only 1) | $0.25 per hour |
(E) The educational achievement/certification pay established in divisions (A), (B), (C) and (D) of this section shall be paid on a per hour. The per hour certification payments will only be made for the normal 40-hour work week.
