§ 33.31 UNIFORMS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES.
   (A)   (1)   Command officers of the Fire Division, who are not covered by a collective bargaining agreement, shall receive a uniform clothing allowance commensurate with the provisions of the bargaining contract in effect with the International Association of Firefighters, Local 2379.
      (2)   Command officers of the Police Division, who are not covered by a collective bargaining agreement, shall receive a uniform clothing allowance commensurate with the provisions of the bargaining contract in effect with the Bowling Green Command Officers Association.
   (B)   Non-bargaining supervisors and other non-bargaining hourly personnel working in the Public Works Division, the Water Supply Division, the Water Pollution Control Division and Wastewater Collection Division, who are required to wear uniforms, shall have their requests for uniform replacements addressed consistently with the process for bargaining employees as outlined in the current BGEO collective bargaining agreement.
   (C)   Zoning Code Enforcement Officers who work in the Planning Department and who are required to wear uniforms shall receive an annual uniform clothing allowance of $250. This allowance shall be paid through the city's regular payroll system and is a taxable benefit/payment. The clothing allowance shall be paid the first pay following April 30 each year, new hires to the classification of Zoning Code Enforcement Officer will be provided an initial outfitting of appropriate uniform apparel; however, this purchase will be deemed a taxable fringe benefit. New hires shall be paid this clothing allowance commencing the first pay that occurs after April 30 following the completion of the probationary period.
   (D)   In all instances where uniforms are required for city employees who are not covered by collective bargaining agreements, the cleaning and laundering of the uniforms shall be provided and paid for by the city.
   (E)   Full-time Park Maintenance Specialists, the Operations Coordinator and the Maintenance Coordinator, who work in the Parks and Recreation Department and who are required to wear “uniforms”, shall receive an annual uniform clothing allowance of $250. This allowance shall be paid through the city's regular payroll system and is a taxable benefit/payment. The clothing allowance shall be paid the first pay following April 30 each year. New hires to the classification of Park Maintenance Specialist will be provided an initial outfitting of appropriate uniform apparel; however, this purchase will be deemed a taxable fringe benefit. New hires shall be paid this clothing allowance commencing the first pay that occurs after April 30 following the completion of the six-onth probationary period.
