(A) A NHV may be operated on village streets from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset; however, the vehicle may not be operated if visibility is impaired by weather, smoke, fog or when there is insufficient light to see persons and vehicles at a distance of 500 feet.
(B) A NHV shall not be operated on any village sidewalks and may not be parked in spaces marked for the use of physically impaired drivers.
(C) An operator of a NHV must use seatbelts in accordance with 625 ILCS 5/12-603.1 and 625 ILCS 25/1 et seq. and with any other applicable state laws.
(D) When operated on a roadway, a NHV shall have its headlight and tail lamps lighted at all times.
(E) A person shall not operate a NHV if he or she is impaired, such as under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
(F) A person who operates a NHV must carry any vehicle insurance required by state law. Documentation of valid insurance must be submitted to a village official or to a public safety officer upon request.
