§ 30.01 FOIA OFFICER; REQUESTS.
   (A)   (1)   The Village Treasurer is hereby designated as the FOIA Officer to whom all initial requests for access to the records of the village are to be referred. Such requests are to be made at the Village Hall during its regular business hours: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. In the event the Village Treasurer is not available during the times described above, a Trustee is designated as the Deputy FOIA Officer to whom such initial requests are to be made.
      (2)   Except in instances when records are furnished immediately, the FOIA Officer, or the Deputy FOIA Officer in his or her absence, shall receive requests submitted to the village under the Freedom of Information Act, shall comply with all time deadlines imposed by the Act (currently five business days after receipt of the request), and shall respond to those requests as required by the Act.
      (3)   The FOIA Officer also shall develop a list of documents or categories of records that the village shall immediately disclose upon request.
   (B)   Any person who requests records of the village must submit that request in writing to the village’s FOIA Officer. The FOIA Officer is the Village Treasurer. The Deputy FOIA Officer is whomever the Village Board designates.
