§ 52.021 TOXIC AND OTHER POLLUTANTS.
   (A)   No existing discharger as of the effective date of this section shall discharge wastewater containing concentrations of the following enumerated materials in division (B)(3) below, exceeding the following value as measured at the point where the entire wastewater flow from the industrial user enters the town’s sewer system.
   (B)   Maximum daily discharge constituent limitations (mg/l) are as follows.
      (1)   A temperature higher than 104°F.
      (2)   A pH lower than 6.0 or higher than 9.0.
      (3)   The following materials:

Cyanide
0.1mg/l
Lead
0.1 mg/l
Mercury
0.1 mg/l
Nickel

0.20 mg/l

Phenolic compounds which cannot be removed by the town’s wastewater treatment process

Hexavalent chromium (Cr+6) for one day, or chromium for any 30 consecutive day average

Phosphorus (total P)
20 mg/l
Ammonia (as N)
100 mg/l
Oil and grease (animal or vegetable origin)
100 mg/l
Oil and grease (mineral or petroleum oil)
 
   (C)   Any of the above items listed in division (B) in other concentration than stated above if applicable state or federal regulations, or regulations of the Town Council set different maximum concentrations.
   (D)   Any other substance or concentration thereof prohibited to all users or classes of users by state or federal law, or regulation, now or hereafter adopted by the Town Council.
   (E)   The town may impose mass emission rate limitations on dischargers if it is believed that dilution is being used to meet the pretreatment standards or requirements of this section. These standards do not override the other standards established by federal or state agencies or departments, or as may be amended.
