For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
PERSON. Any individual, partnership, corporation or body politic, and includes any trustee, receiver, assignee or other similar representative thereof.
WATER WELL. Any digging, drilling or excavation, by hand or by the use of machinery or equipment, whereby water is obtained from under the surface of the ground to be used on or above the ground surface.
