§ 30.07 POLICE; AUTHORITY TO ARREST.
   (A)   The Chief of Police or any police officer is hereby authorized to make the arrest of any person within the city limits who is accused or charged with any crime or any offense against the laws of the state or the laws of the city, either with or without a warrant.
   (B)   The Chief of Police or any police officer hereby further is authorized to make the arrest of any person who is accused or charged with such crime within five miles of the city limits either with or without a warrant.
