§ 34.18 VACATION.
   Except as otherwise expressly provided in this subchapter, vacation time for village employees employed on a full-time basis shall be calculated and accrued based on the following schedule.
   (A)   (1)   Upon the attainment of the first year of employment, the employee shall have accrued 40 hours of vacation leave with full pay. Such vacation leave shall accrue to the employee at the rate of three and one-third hours each month.
      (2)   Upon the attainment of the second year of employment, the employees shall have accrued 80 hours of vacation leave with full pay. Such vacation leave shall accrue to the employee at the rate of six and two-third hours each month.
      (3)   Upon the attainment of the tenth year of employment, the employee shall have accrued 120 hours of vacation leave with full pay. Such vacation leave shall accrue to the employee at the rate of ten hours each month.
      (4)   All vacation time must be approved by and coordinated through the Village Administrator.
   (B)   A village employee may carry over and accumulate in a subsequent year vacation time which does not exceed the amount of vacation time which an employee shall have accrued during the immediately preceding calendar year. If, at the end of any calendar year, a village employee has accumulated more than the current calendar year’s vacation which remains unused, such employee shall be paid for the excess accumulated vacation time at the employee’s then current rate of hourly compensation.
