§ 34.15 HOLIDAYS.

   (A)   In addition to the cash compensation to be paid village employees under this subchapter, and except as otherwise expressly provided in this subchapter, village employees employed on a full-time basis shall be granted seven and one-half paid holidays, these holidays being:

      (1)   New Year’s Day;

      (2)   Thanksgiving;

      (3)   Good Friday (half-day, afternoon);

      (4)   Christmas Eve Day (half-day, afternoon);

      (5)   Memorial Day;

      (6)   Christmas Day;

      (7)   Independence Day;

      (8)   New Year’s Eve (half-day, afternoon); and

      (9)   Labor Day.

   (B)   In order for an full-time village employee to be paid for a holiday, such employee must work the days immediately prior to and immediately subsequent to the holiday, unless otherwise excused by the Village Administrator.

   (C)   Any time a holiday should fall on a Saturday or Sunday, for employment purposes, the village shall observe the holiday on the immediately subsequent Monday.
