§ 93.01 BOTKINS COMMUNITY PARK.
   (A)   Park hours of operation.
      (1)   The Botkins Community Park shall be open seasonally from March to November. The exact dates of opening and closing will depend upon weather and the Public Works Department’s ability to protect the park’s waterlines from freezing.
      (2)   The Botkins Community Park shall be open daily from dawn to dusk.
      (3)   No unauthorized persons shall enter the premise of the Botkins Community Park except during the operating hours.
   (B)   Scheduling use of park.
      (1)   Scheduling use of park athletic fields.
         (a)   All athletic events (practices, games, camps and the like) must be scheduled with the Village Administrator no later than three weeks before the event is to take place.
         (b)   Organizations seeking regular seasonal use must attend an organizational meeting held by the village.
            1.   An organizational meeting for spring/summer usage will be held the first week of March each year; and
            2.   An organizational meeting for summer/fall usage will be held the last week of June each year.
         (c)   Athletic fields will be scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis, with the following exceptions:
            1.   Official local school sanctioned events will have first priority for scheduling; and
            2.   Community organizations will have second priority for scheduling.
      (2)   Scheduling use of park shelter house or other amenities.
         (a)   All events must be scheduled with the Village Administrator.
         (b)   Events will be scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
   (C)   Use of baseball and softball diamonds. Organizations that use the baseball and softball diamonds are responsible for the proper maintenance of the diamonds before and after use. The organization will be responsible for completing the following maintenance:
      (1)   Hand dragging of infield;
      (2)   Chalking infield lines;
      (3)   Raking of pitcher’s mound and batters boxes;
      (4)   Install and put away bases; and
      (5)   Sweep dug-outs and throw away all garbage.
   (D)   Use of soccer fields. Soccer organizations that wish to utilize the park must have field configurations and layouts approved by the Village Administrator prior to stringing and painting them at the park.
   (E)   Cost of park usage. Costs of events shall be determined by Village Council on a case-by-case basis.
   (F)   Alcohol policy.
      (1)   Alcohol consumption at the park is strictly prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Village Council through a motion or resolution.
      (2)   Alcohol is strictly prohibited during local school sporting events.
