The Town Marshal serves at the pleasure of the Town Council, and Deputy Marshals serve at the pleasure of the Town Marshal, until each has completed the mandatory basic training requirements under state law in the probationary period described herein. Thereafter, full-time officers are subject to the protections of I.C. 36-8-3-4 as that law may be amended from time to time.
