It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to maintain or keep within the incorporated town for hire or pay to be used or played upon by other persons, any shooting gallery, ball alley, machine or device for game or for hire, without having first procured from the Town Clerk-Treasurer a license, as hereinafter provided, paying therefor a license fee of $25 per annum for each shooting gallery, ball alley, machine or device so used but no license shall be granted for any period less than one year.
