It shall be unlawful for any person, either as principal or agent, to engage in the business of peddling in the town without having first procured a permit to do so, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in the sum of not less than $25 nor more than $100 and each and every day of violation thereof shall be considered as a separate offense under this chapter.
