137.03 ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT OF POLICE OFFICERS.
   (a)   Probationary Period. Any appointment to the position of Police Officer shall be conditional upon the satisfactory completions by the appointee of minimum State training requirements set out in Ohio R.C. 109.77 within a one-year probationary period of employment. A Police Officer may not be finally confirmed as a permanent full-time Police Officer until the completion of such requirement. Certification of such completion shall be made a permanent part of the employee's records.
   (b)   Training Program. All full-time and auxiliary personnel shall be required to complete the State mandated police training program as prescribed by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Council prior to being permitted to work alone and in uniform.
   (c)    Salaries. Salaries for all members of the Police Department shall be in accordance with the current salary ordinance passed by Council. Increases in rate of pay shall be given as passed by Council. (Ord. 2015-7-20. Passed 9-9-15.)
