147.05 VACATIONS.
   (a)    All full-time employees of the Village shall be entitled to the following schedule of
vacation with pay:

120 hours

160 hours
   The employee's supervisor and/or Mayor have the right to accept or deny requested vacation. All department heads shall have their vacation approved in writing by the Mayor before exercising their time off. The Request for Leave form must be used when requesting any time from work and is taken at fifteen (15) minute intervals. Unless otherwise provided for under the Village's Codified Ordinances, vacation must be used by the employee's anniversary date.
   (b)    All full-time employees of the Village who have accumulated any vacation time must utilize such vacation time within a twelve (12) month period or prior to their next employment anniversary date following its accumulation or it will be forfeited. Exceptions may be approved by the Mayor in writing.
   (c)    Employees with at least one (1) year of service are entitled to payment for any earned but unused vacation in the calendar year immediately preceding their resignation from Village service.
   (d)    The use of vacation time that causes a full-time forty (40)-hour a week employee to exceed forty (40) hours in a work week shall be paid at the employee's standard payrate. To earn overtime, the full-time employee must work all hours up to and in excess of the forty (40) hours.
   (e)    The use of vacation time by a full-time non-exempt law enforcement officer that causes the officer to exceed eighty-four (84) hours in the two-week shall be paid at the police officer's standard payrate. To earn overtime, the non-exempt law enforcement officer must work all hours up to and in excess of the eighty-four (84) hours.
