All places where pavement or other material is removed from streets, alleys, sidewalks or public grounds shall be restored to their former condition as speedily as practicable, either by the Municipality or by the person causing such pavement to be removed, as may be directed, but at the expense of the person causing such pavement to be removed, or, in default thereof, the amount shall be deducted from the cash deposit mentioned in Section 901.04, or otherwise collected from the permittee as required under these Codified Ordinances and/or required by law.
