713.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purposes of this chapter, the words and phrases defined in the sections hereunder shall have the meanings therein respectfully ascribed to them except where a different meaning is clearly indicated by the content.
   (a)   "Cable television service" means the delivery by any individual, corporation, partnership, or entity to television receivers, or any other suitable type of audio/video communication receivers, to subscribers of all signals of over the air television broadcasters allowed by the FCC to be carried by the cable television system as defined by the FCC; all FM radio stations carried on the system; local originations channels; educational channels; public access channels; leased access channels; pay television channels; and other services provided by such individual corporation, partnership, or entity and carried on the system.
   (b)   "Cable television system" or "system" or "CTS" means a system of antennas, coaxial cables, wire, wave guides, or other conductors, electronic equipment or facility designed, constructed or used for the production of television signals, interception or receipt of television or radio signals directly or indirectly off the air and the distribution or transmission of such signals and other communications services by means of cable or other similar devices to subscribers.
   (c)   "Village" means the Village of Boston Heights, Ohio, a Municipal Corporation in and of the State of Ohio, in its present and corporated form or in any larger reorganized, consolidated, enlarged, or reincorporated form, and its duly authorized officials acting on its behalf.
   (d)   "Council" means the present governing body of the Village or any successor of the legislative powers of the present Council. "Clerk" means the existing or succeeding Fiscal Officer of the Village.
   (e)   "Franchise" means the permission, license, authorization given to construct, operate and maintain a cable television system in the Village.
   (f)   "Person" means any individual or association of individuals, or any firm, corporation, or other business entity.
