Water meters shall be installed not more than three (3) feet from the wall where the water service enters the building, except in cases where the service runs under the floor. Meters shall be installed in a horizontal position not less than two (2) feet above the floor, or more than five (5) feet above the floor, and shall be equipped with a remote reading head unless otherwise specified by the Director of Public Works.
