For the purposes of regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of buildings or structures; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; declaring and establishing fire districts; providing penalties for the violation thereof and repealing all ordinances, codes and parts of ordinances and codes in conflict therewith, the International Building Code (IBC), Chapters 1-35 and Appendices I & J, 2012 Edition and the International Residential Code (IRC), Chapters 1-10, 23, Section P2904 and appendices F, G, H & J, 2012 Edition, including appendices thereto, is adopted in full as the Building Code for the City, except for the portions that are deleted, modified or amended by this chapter.
