(A) There is hereby established a fund to be known as the Bridge Inspection and Inventory Fund to be maintained separate and apart from all other funds of the county. Should the Bridge Inspection and Inventory Fund discontinue and all qualifying debts have been paid, the remaining monies within the fund will revert as prescribed by FHWA and INDOT.
(B) The fund shall consist of monies received from FHWA by and through INDOT as reimbursement for qualifying expenses for county owned bridge inspections and inventory.
(C) Money shall be disbursed by submission of a claim signed by the County Engineer or his or her designee and approved by the Commissioners. Monies in the fund shall not revert to the county general fund at the end of each calendar year, but shall be held over from year to year, for the purposes established by this section.
