§ 34.25 PLAT BOOK MAINTENANCE FEE.
   (A)   There is hereby established a fee in the amount of $5 for each real property endorsement that the County Auditor makes pursuant to state law. This fee, as outlined in I.C. 36-2-9-18(d), is in addition to any other fee provided by state law. The County Auditor shall place the revenue received under this collection authorization in a dedicated fund for use in maintaining the county plat books.
   (B)   When available, the County Auditor will accept digitized plats or surveys prepared with the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software programs which are compatible with the computer hardware and software utilized by the County Auditor's office. When available, the Auditor may request, but may not require, a survey, if available, to assist the Auditor's office in entering deeds and property transfers into the digitized records of property transfers in the county.
    (C)    Any revisions to plats resulting from changes in measurement to the original digitized plat book sheet, which are not attributable to county personnel but rather to errors and/or omissions by the developer, engineer, or individual submitting the original plat for recording and subsequent digitizing in the county plat books, shall be borne by the individual or organization submitting the new plat which corrects the original plat first approved for recording purposes.
