§ 50.33 TRANSPORTER REGISTRATION AND LICENSING.
   (A)   All transporters, as previously defined herein, shall register with and obtain a license from Boone County while providing solid waste collection and transportation services within Boone County. For purposes of registration, a transporter shall provide the following information: transporter’s full name; address; daytime telephone number; emergency phone number; and designated responsible person to be in contact with concerning the transporter’s day-to-day operations. Each transporter shall be required to register and obtain a single license regardless of the number of vehicles used to haul waste.
   (B)   Each transporter providing solid waste collection and transportation services within Boone County as of January 1, 2014, shall register with Boone County within 30 days after the later of the effective date of this chapter or January 1, 2014. A transporter that begins providing solid waste collection and transportation services within Boone County after January 1, 2014, shall register within 30 days after the effective date of this chapter or the date on which the transporter commences provision of solid waste collection and transportation services within Boone County. A transporter shall renew its registration and license under this chapter by no later than January 31 of each subsequent calendar year in which the transporter provides solid waste collection and transportation services within Boone County.
   (C)   At the time of registration under this section, a transporter shall pay to Boone County a mandatory fee to cover administrative expenses associated with the registration and licensing. Said fee will be in the amount of $100 per transporter per calendar year in which a transporter is registered under this chapter. Upon payment of this fee and approval by the county of the registration information, Boone County shall promptly issue a transporter a license. Annual renewals of registration and licensing shall be required subject to payment of the fee set in this division (C).
