§ 33.15 BOONE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COUNCIL ESTABLISHED; APPOINTMENT AND TERMS OF MEMBERS; ELECTION OF OFFICERS; DUTIES OF COUNCIL.
   In accordance with I.C. 10-4-1-10, there is established a Boone County Emergency Management Advisory Council.
   (A)   The Boone County Emergency Management Advisory Council shall consist of the following individuals or their designees:
      (1)   The president of the county executive;
      (2)   The president of the county fiscal body;
      (3)   The mayor of each city located in the county.
      (4)   An individual representing the legislative bodies of all towns located within the county.
      (5)   The Sheriff of Boone County.
      (6)   A representative of law enforcement, a representative of fire services, a representative of emergency medical services, a representative of general industry, and a representative of general media and representatives of such private and public agencies or organizations which can be of assistance to emergency management as the organizing group considers appropriate, or as may be added later by the County Emergency Management Advisory Council.
   (B)   The Advisory Council shall have a chair who shall be the President of the County Executive, a vice-chair, recording secretary, and a vice-recording secretary.
   (C)   With the exception of the President of the County Commissioners, member shall be appointed to two-year terms.
   (D)   The County Emergency Advisory Management Council shall exercise general supervision and control over the emergency management and disaster program of the county and shall select or cause to be selected a County Director of Emergency Management Agency who shall have direct responsibility for the organization, administration, and operation of the emergency management program in the county; shall be responsible to the Chair of the Emergency Management Advisory Council; and shall not hold any other local or state government office.
   (E)   The Advisory Council shall meet at least once quarterly.
