§ 151.35 EXEMPT STRUCTURES.
   (A)   Certain structures shall be exempt from building permits under this subchapter. Farm buildings for the confinement of animals, storage of farm equipment or structures for other farm related uses such as grain silos and on-farm fertilizer storage tanks shall not be required to acquire a building permit.
   (B)   However, farm homes, garages and pole buildings not used for agricultural uses shall require building permits.
   (C)   Residential uses not requiring building permits shall include fences of less than five feet in height and mini-storage barns of less than 80 square feet in size. Public utility installations shall be required to have proper zoning approvals but are only required to acquire building permits for buildings and not for structures, such as substations without buildings or pole placements.
   (D)   Electrical permits may be required for all such exempt structures, however.
