There is hereby established a Boone County Weights and Measures Fund (the Fund). All minimum fines and fines imposed by the courts of Boone County shall be deposited into the Fund. The Fund shall not revert at the end of the year, but shall be maintained by the Boone County Auditor. Any amount in the Fund may be appropriated by the Boone County Council to either:
(A) Pay the cost of the acquisition of additional equipment for the Weights and Measures Inspector and his or her department, as approved by the Board of Commissioners of Boone County.
(B) Be appropriated into a part-time line item for the payment of part-time employees.
(C) Be appropriated into appropriate salary line item to assist in the payment of the Weights and Measures Inspector.
