§ 37.35 ADDITIONAL FEES AND COSTS IN THE CIRCUIT AND DISTRICT COURTS.
   (A)   Filing fees and court costs. Fees and costs in the Circuit and District Courts of Boone County, Kentucky, in addition to those fees and costs already imposed by law, shall be assessed and thereafter delivered to the Treasurer of Boone County, Kentucky, in accordance with the following schedule:
      (1)   In Circuit Court civil cases, a fee of $25 shall be added to filing fees;
      (2)   In Circuit Court criminal cases, a cost of $25 shall be added to court costs;
      (3)   In civil cases that are appealed from Circuit Court to the Kentucky Court of Appeals, a fee of $25 shall be added to the filing fees;
      (4)   In all traffic cases, a fee of $10 shall be added to the court costs;
      (5)   In probate cases, a fee of $10 shall be added to each filing fee;
      (6)   In misdemeanor cases, a cost of $20 shall be added to court costs;
      (7)   In small claims cases, a fee of $10 shall be added to all filing fees; and
      (8)   In District Court civil cases, a fee of $10 shall be added to all filing fees.
   (B)   Subpoena and civil summons. Fees for the service of a subpoena and for the service of a civil summons shall be charged, in addition to those charges which are already allowed by law, as follows:
      (1)   For the service of a subpoena, a fee of $10 shall be added to the service charges; and
      (2)   For the service of a civil summons, a fee of $10 shall be added to the service charges.
   (C)   Purpose of fees/costs. All funds collected as additional fees and/or costs pursuant to this section shall be expended for the purpose of paying expenses associated with the courts of justice in Boone County, Kentucky, including expenses for the courthouse(s), bonds related to the courthouse(s) and the administration thereof pursuant to the authority of KRS 23A.220, 24A.185 and 64.091.
