A violation of any provision of this chapter shall constitute an infraction and the offender shall be subject to a fine of $50, except that a first violation of § 71.02(B)(2), (3) or (4) shall be dismissed if the person charged submits proof within ten days that equipment meeting the standards in § 71.02(B)(2), (3) or (4) has been acquired for use by the operator or passenger.
