(A) The purpose of this subchapter is to define the authority of the Public Utilities Department of the town as the water purveyor in the elimination of all cross-connections within its public potable water supply.
(B) This chapter shall apply to all users connected to the town potable water supply regardless of whether the user is located within the city limits or outside of the city limits.
(C) This chapter will comply with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act (Pub. Law No. 93-523), the State Administrative Code (Title 15A, Subchapter 8C) and the State Building Code (Volume II) as they pertain to cross-connections with the public water supply.
