The intent of this subchapter is to set forth standard procedures whereby water and sewer connections may be made, and whereby mains may be extended where no mains are presently laid. An
EXTENSION refers to the continuation of a water main beyond its currently existing limits, while a CONNECTION is defined as the linking of pipes serving a single customer to an existing water main.
