(A) Sanitary sewer plans and specifications shall be sealed by a professional engineer, licensed to practice in the state.
(B) Minimum manhole depth shall be four feet.
(C) Minimum pipe size shall be eight-inch diameter.
(D) Minimum slope on an eight-inch pipe shall be 0.5%. Maximum slope shall be 15%.
(E) Minimum velocity shall be two fps.
(F) Minimum cover shall be three feet, unless ductile iron pipe is used.
(G) Maximum cover shall be 18 feet, unless ductile iron pipe is used.
(H) Manholes in off-street locations shall be extended one foot minimum above finished grade.
(I) (1) Manholes shall extend two feet above the 100-year flood plain elevation or be sealed cover and vented two feet above the 100-year flood elevation.
(2) If the 100-year flood elevation cannot be readily established, the Director of Public Utilities shall establish the elevation to which the manhole rims or stack shall be extended.
(J) Horizontal and vertical alignment between manholes shall be straight.
(K) Provide a 0.2-foot drop through a manhole.
(L) Maximum distance between manholes shall be 400 feet.
(M) Use drop manhole where difference between incoming and outgoing pipe inverts is 24 inches or greater.
(N) Provide wye with lateral to the property line and plug for each lot in a subdivision. Provide metal post painted yellow extending at least three feet above ground to mark end of lateral.
(O) Separate water lines ten feet horizontal distance from sewer lines (existing or proposed) or keep water line 18 inches clear above sewer line. Where 18 inches clear vertically cannot be maintained below or above the sewer line, both lines shall be mechanical joint ductile iron a minimum of ten feet on either side of the crossing. Center the crossing at the center of the pipe, both lines.
(P) Sewer lines shall have a 25-foot permanent easement (12.5 feet each side of centerline) in the town's name. A 50-foot construction easement (25 feet each side of centerline, unless directed otherwise) shall be provided.
