A. Appointment: The committee shall consist of five (5) members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council.
B. Qualifications: Any resident of Boundary County is qualified to serve on the committee.
C. Term: The term of office of the original appointees shall be one year for three (3) members and two (2) years for two (2) members, with a specific term to be stated by the mayor at the time of appointment. After the initial appointment, the term of office for each appointee shall be two (2) years. A person filling a vacancy created during a term shall serve for the balance of the original term only. D. Vacancies: Vacancies shall likewise be filled by the mayor with confirmation from the council. (1959 Code § 2-4-1)
E. Removal: A committee member may be removed by majority vote of the city council, with or without cause.
F. Advisory Members: The mayor, with the consent of the council, may from time to time appoint advisory members who shall have the right to speak, but no right to vote. (1959 Code § 2-4-2)
