9-1A-1: ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODES:
A.   Adoption: The city hereby adopts the following building codes and standards, and shall enforce them with regard to all construction and development in the incorporated areas of the city:
   1.   The international building code, 2003 edition, and any subsequent edition or supplement thereto, as published by the International Code Council, including all rules promulgated by the Idaho building code board to provide equivalency with the provisions of the Americans with disabilities act accessibility guidelines and the federal housing act accessibility guidelines.
   2.   The international residential code, 2003 edition, parts I–IV, and part IX, and any subsequent edition or supplement thereto, as published by the International Code Council.
   3.   The international energy conservation code, 2003 edition, and any subsequent edition or supplement thereto, as published by the International Code Council. (Ord. 486, 1-11-2005)
B.   Updating Of Adopted Codes: The adopted versions of the codes specified in subsection A of this section and modified in section 9-1A-2 of this article shall be deemed superseded by successive versions of such codes as they are adopted or approved by the Idaho building code board effective on January 1 the year following the adoption by the department of building safety. C.   Exemptions: Agricultural buildings are exempt from the building codes adopted herein but shall remain subject to placement requirements established by zoning regulations. (Ord. 472, 10-15-2002)
D.   Copy On File: One copy of the building code shall be duly certified and kept on file in the office of the city clerk for use and examination by the public. (2003 Code)
