A. The membership of the Airport Commission shall be composed of up to eight (8) members appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the Council. One member shall be nominated by the Idaho National Guard without regard to residency; one member (in addition to the nominee of the Idaho National Guard) may reside in the area of impact of the City; one member (in addition to the nominee of the Idaho National Guard) may reside outside the area of impact of the City in an area affected by the operation of a regional airport; and one member may, at the time of appointment, be under twenty one (21) years of age. Ex officio members consist of the Mayor, the member(s) of the Council assigned as liaison to the Airport Commission, and the City Attorney or his/her designee.
B. The term of office for all Airport Commission members shall be for a three (3) year term. The youth member shall be appointed to a term of up to one year and may be reappointed to up to four (4) successive terms. If a vacancy shall occur during an unexpired term, the Mayor, with the consent of the Council, shall appoint a member to fill such unexpired term. (Ord. 22-13, 7-23-2013)
