§ 93.15 VILLAGE DEPARTMENTS TO CONSULT WITH COMMISSION.
   (A)   In order to complete its mandate, it is necessary that all village officials, departments and employees coordinate their activities with the Tree Commission where any activity of the village will impact public trees.
   (B)   Each department, official or employee of the village shall report to the Tree Commission any activity undertaken that involves the pruning, cutting, removal or potential removal of any public tree. No activity that affects any public tree shall be commenced without reference to the Tree Commission and it has issued its decision regarding the public tree in question. It shall be the specific duty of any department head of the village to advise the Tree Commission of any project or work that might affect a public tree at least 30 days prior to the commencement of any project or, if an emergency exists, as soon as practicable.
   (C)   Only where there is an imminent threat to the safety of persons or property may the administration take action regarding a public tree without the consent of the Tree Commission.
