Application for a scavenger’s license shall be made upon a form provided by the City Clerk’s office. Every person, firm, corporation, partnership or other entity shall truthfully state in full the information requested on the application (set out in Exhibit A to the ordinance codified herein). The application shall be investigated by the Police Department to verify the requested information. Upon verification of the requested information and upon payment of the yearly license fee of $100, a non-transferrable license shall issue within 14 days of the application. A placard or sticker will be issued to the licensee showing the expiration date of the license which must be displayed in the vehicle’s front window or attached to the cart when the licensee is engaged in scavenging or junk dealing activities.
