§ 120.28 SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF DRIVER’S LICENSE.
   (A)   (1)   Driver’s licenses may be suspended or revoked at any time by the Mayor or the City Council.
      (2)   Any suspension shall be noted on the license, together with a statement of the reasons therefor, and the driver shall be deprived of his or her badge by the official suspending or revoking such license.
      (3)   When the license is suspended or revoked by an official other than the City Council, the driver’s badge and a note of the revocation or suspension shall be forwarded to the City Council, the badge to be returned at the expiration of the period for which the license was suspended. A second suspension for the same reason or, in any case, a third suspension of a driver’s license shall revoke the license.
   (B)   No driver whose license has been revoked shall again be licensed as a public taxicab driver in the city, unless upon the presentation of reasons satisfactory to the City Council or, in a case where a license has been suspended or revoked by the Mayor, the approval of the Mayor shall be necessary to the restoration or reissue of such license.
   (C)   The City Council shall notify the Police Department whenever such a license is revoked.
