The annual license fee to be paid by the applicant desiring to be licensed as a contractor shall be $60 per year; provided that, if the contractor engages only in the applying of siding to the exterior of buildings or the repair or construction of roofs or in the painting of the exterior or interior of buildings, and/or paperhanging, the license shall be $30. All licenses shall expire one year after the date of issuance.
