For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CONTRACTOR. One who enters into a contract for the erection or repair of buildings, for the installing of heating and for plumbing, for the installing of electric wiring or equipment, for the laying of sidewalks, or for the painting of chattels or the interior or exterior of buildings, or for paperhanging.
