Applications for all licenses and permits required by this chapter shall be made in writing to the City Clerk. Each application shall state the name of the applicant, license desired and the location to be used. Each application shall contain such additional information as may be needed for the proper guidance of the corporate authorities for the evaluation and determination in the issuing of the permit or license. Subject to the terms and provisions of this chapter, the City Clerk or his or her designee shall cause to be issued the license or permit after investigations by all applicable city departments to permit the operation of the commercial establishment in the city for a period of one year.
