It shall be the duty of the Building Department and other Health Inspectors to enforce all the laws of the state and ordinances of the city in relation to the sanitary regulations of the city. For the purpose of carrying out the foregoing requirements, they shall be permitted, at all times from the rising to the setting of the sun, to enter into any house, store, stable or other building and to cause the floors to be raised, if they shall deem it necessary, in order to make a thorough examination of cellars, vaults, sinks or drains and to cause all privies to be cleaned and to be kept in good condition and to cause all dead animals or other nauseous or unwholesome things or substances to be buried or removed beyond the limits of the city. The city hereby adopts the 2022 Food Code of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration by reference as if fully set forth herein.
