Operating as committee liaisons within the Committee of Whole and the City Council, each Alderman shall be assigned a committee liaison assignment with responsibility over a respective operational area of the city in an effort to foster policy direction and leadership regarding specific community needs. The seven operational areas of the city to be assigned a committee liaison shall be as determined by the City Council.
