No trees on city property may be planted closer together than the following: small trees - 20 feet; medium trees - 30 feet; and large trees - 40 feet; except in special plantings approved by the Public Works Superintendent. The designation of small, medium, and large trees is defined in the Preferred Species List located in the Urban Forest Management Plan.
